Wallpaper — Floral, Striped, Geometric & Designer Wallpaper
Read moreWallpaper adds pattern, texture and depth that paint can't, and hides small imperfections in the wall. Three decisions matter most: the scale of the pattern for the room, the type of paper and how it's hung, and ordering enough rolls from the same batch.
Shop by style: floral and tree wallpaper, geometric, striped, patterned and textured and paintable. By brand: Laura Ashley, Graham & Brown, Morris & Co and Belgravia. For paste and tools, see wallpaper accessories.
Choosing wallpaper for each room
Living room wallpaper
A quiet pattern on every wall feels calm; a bolder design works best on one feature wall, behind the sofa or around the fireplace.
Bedroom and hallway wallpaper
In a bedroom, the wall behind the bed is the natural feature wall, and soft florals and stripes are the most restful. Hallways take knocks, so a tougher heavyweight vinyl and a busier pattern hide scuffs best.
Kitchen and bathroom wallpaper
Choose a vinyl or washable paper, keep it away from direct splashes, and check the product description for the material.
Designer wallpaper brands
Designer wallpaper here comes from Laura Ashley, Graham & Brown, Morris & Co, Next, Joules, Superfresco, MADE, Cath Kidston and Belgravia.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
A standard roll is around 10m long and 52–53cm wide; check the exact size on each product page. Divide the width of the walls by the roll width to get the number of drops. Then work out how many full-height drops one roll gives, adding the pattern repeat to each drop. Divide, round up and add a spare roll.
Pattern repeat and matching
A straight match lines up across each drop at the same height; an offset (drop) match shifts every other drop and uses more paper.
Order all your rolls together
Wallpaper is printed in batches, and the shade can vary slightly from one batch to the next. Order every roll for the room at the same time so they come from the same batch, and check the batch number on each roll matches before you start hanging.
Paste the wall or paste the paper?
With paste-the-wall wallpaper you paste the wall and hang the paper dry, with no soaking time. Paste-the-paper wallpaper is pasted on the back, folded and left to soak before hanging. The product page or roll label gives the method.
Lining paper
On old, patched or uneven walls, lining paper gives a smooth base. Hang it horizontally so its joins don't line up with the wallpaper's.
Wallpaper delivery
Wallpaper that is in stock is delivered in a few days; designs we order in from the supplier take around two weeks. Our own team delivers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Part of the range is on show at our Enniskillen showroom. The online range is much wider, so ring before you travel if there's a particular design you'd like to see.
