Bedroom Furniture — Beds, Wardrobes, Drawers & Bedside Tables
Read more
Bedroom furniture is planned around the bed. Decide the bed size first, then fit the storage around it, leaving enough room to walk round the bed, open the wardrobe doors fully and pull out every drawer. A bedroom that looks fine on paper can be tight in real life if those clearances are forgotten.
Shop beds and bed frames, mattresses and headboards, then wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables, dressing tables and blanket boxes and benches.
Beds and bed frames
The range covers upholstered and wooden beds, ottoman storage beds that lift to reveal space underneath, and children's beds including bunk beds. Allow at least 60cm between the bed and the wall or the next piece of furniture.
Mattresses and headboards
Choose the mattress to match the bed size exactly. A headboard changes the look of a plain frame without replacing the bed.
Bedroom wardrobes
Measure the floor-to-ceiling height and any sloping ceiling before choosing a wardrobe, and allow for the door swing: a hinged door needs its own width in clear floor in front of it. Wardrobes with drawers or shelves inside reduce the need for a separate chest.
Bedroom chest of drawers
A tall chest saves floor space in a smaller room; a wide, low chest doubles as a dressing surface with a mirror above. Leave about 90cm in front so the drawers open fully and you can stand at them.
Bedroom side tables
Bedside tables work best at roughly the height of the top of the mattress, so a lamp, a glass or a phone is within easy reach. Drawers keep the top clear; an open shelf takes books.
Bedroom dressing table
A dressing table with a mirror and a stool gives you a place to sit and get ready. Some come as a table, stool and mirror set.
End of bed benches and blanket boxes
A blanket box or bench at the foot of the bed stores spare bedding and gives you somewhere to sit. Check the length against the width of the bed.
Delivery and assembly
Furniture is delivered in 2 to 3 weeks unless the product page says otherwise. Our own team delivers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and carries each piece into the room you choose, rather than leaving it at the door. Assembly is optional: add it when you order, at the cost shown on each product.
Part of the range is on show at our Enniskillen showroom. The online range is wider, so ring before you travel if there's a particular piece you'd like to see.
Bedroom furniture FAQs
What furniture do you need in a bedroom?
A bed and mattress, somewhere to hang and fold clothes, and a bedside table on at least one side. A dressing table, chair or blanket box can follow if there's space.
How much space should be around a bed?
Aim for at least 60cm at each side and at the foot, and more in front of wardrobes and drawers so they open fully.
What size bed fits a small bedroom?
A small double (4ft) or double (4ft6) usually suits a smaller room. Measure the room and check the bed's overall dimensions, not just the mattress size.
