At Foy’s Interiors, we’ve been outfitting houses since 1981 and our chairs are for every room in the home. Accent chairs in the living room, dining chairs at the table, recliners for the evenings, riser recliners for a little additional aid, office chairs, and stools in the kitchen.

Armchairs & Accent Chairs
Accent chairs are all about looks. A great shape, a vibrant hue that enhances the room. An armchair is mainly about comfort. Arms, and a deep seat to settle into. Both work nicely next to a sofa or in a quiet corner, and are easy to shift when you fancy a change.
Dining Room Chairs
The appropriate dining chairs make you want to linger at the table a bit longer. Soft cushioned fabric, easy-clean leather or classic hardwood chairs. A great choice of colours to fit your table.
Recliner Chairs — Electric & Manual
Nothing like a recliner after a long day. Manual ones are a bit cheaper and they operate with a simple lever. Electric ones are at the stroke of a button. Both are available in fabric and leather.
Mobility Chairs - Riser & Orthopaedic Chairs
If you need a little more support, our mobility chairs are well worth checking out. This comprises riser recliners (also known as lift and rise chairs) and orthopaedic chairs. A riser recliner will push you forward at the touch of a button to help you get up or down safely and then recline back to relax. It really makes a difference when a typical armchair is a challenge You can choose a single-motor or dual-motor option that adjust the back and footrest individually. They are available in fabric and leather and are designed to appear right at home in your living area.
Bar & Counter Stools
Stools are wonderful for breakfast bars and kitchen islands. They add a place to sit without using much space. Measure your counter height first so your stool is at the proper level.
Home Office Chairs
Working remotely? A nice office chair is quite helpful. Look for appropriate back support and a seat height that suits your desk, in a style that suits the environment.

A couple of fast checks is usually all it takes to walk away with a chair you adore, rather than one that sits unused in the corner.
Size & Placement
Match the chair to the room A giant chair can overwhelm a tiny room, a little one can get lost in a big one. Leave roughly two feet (60cm) of clean floor space around it, and measure your entrances before you order.
Fabric or Leather
It comes in the most colours and the fabric is smooth and comfortable. Leather is harder and wipes clean in seconds. For everyday usage or with kids and dogs around, look for a hard-wearing fabric or an easy-clean leather.
Complete the Look

Chair Buying FAQs
What's the difference between an accent chair and an armchair?
The distinction is mostly one of purpose. An accent chair is one that is chosen for visual impact – a striking colour, pattern or shape that makes a statement and adds character to a room. The armchair is more comfortable and suitable for everyday use with a supportive armrest and deeper seat. In practice there’s overlap: each armchair is an accent chair with arms, and many chairs do both functions at once.
How do I choose a hard-wearing chair for daily use?
If the chair is going to be used daily, check the rub count (measured in Martindale) on the cloth. As a rough guide, aim for about 15,000 rubs or more for an occasional chair and 25,000 or more for a chair in daily use, especially in families with children or pets. A tight flat weave is less prone to snagging than a loose loop, and easy-clean leather is another useful alternative for busy spaces.
How much space do I need around a chair?
Leave at least 60cm of space around the chair so you can go past easily and doors can open fully. Pulling an armchair a bit away from the wall also helps – even 10 to 15cm stops it looking marooned. Be sure to measure entrances, hallways and stair turns along the delivery route before ordering.
What's the difference between a single-motor and dual-motor riser recliner?
A single motor riser recliner combines the footrest and backrest movement into one action with the use of one motor. This makes it easier to use and is usually cheaper. Dual motor models include two motors, so you may adjust the backrest and the footrest independently. This is helpful if you have been told to keep your legs lifted but still want to sit upright. Which is the correct decision depends on your comfort needs and budget.
How do I choose the right size orthopaedic or riser recliner chair?
Getting the appropriate size is vital for comfort and support. When sitting all the way back, your feet should be flat on the floor with your knees at a straight angle and there should be a small space between the front of the seat and the back of your knees. Seat width, depth and height all significant, and petite and bigger sizes are offered to fit different heights and shapes. Not sure which to choose? What height bar stool do I need?
Measure from the floor to the bottom of your counter or island, then allow around 25 to 30cm between the seat and the counter for suitable leg room. Standard kitchen counters and higher breakfast bars require various stool heights so verifying this before you buy avoids a stool that’s too high or too low.
Can an accent chair go in a bedroom or home office?
Of course. Accent chairs are versatile and can function well in bedrooms as a dressing chair or reading location, and in home offices as comfy, elegant seats. If you’ll be sitting for extended periods, ensure the home office chair is not too low for your desk and that your back is appropriately supported.

We have a range of our chairs on display in our Enniskillen showroom, so you’re very welcome to pop in and check them out for comfort and to view the fabrics and colours in true light. We don't have every model on display as our selection extends beyond the showroom floor, but our experts can talk you through the options, show you fabric samples and help you choose the perfect chair for your home - whether you're buying in store or online.
