Sofas — Fabric, Leather, Corner & Recliner Sofas
Read more
A sofa is the piece you'll use more than anything else you buy for the house, so it's worth choosing slowly. Size comes first, then the type of sofa, then the cover. Get those three right and the style takes care of itself.
Shop by size: 2 seater, 3 seater and large sofas. By type: corner sofas, recliner sofas and sofa beds. By material: fabric and leather.
What size sofa do you need?
Measure the wall and take about 20cm off each end, so the sofa doesn't look wedged in. In most living rooms that lands on a 3 seater sofa of around 200–210cm, with a 2 seater or an armchair opposite. A corner sofa seats more people for the floor space but fixes the layout.
Measure the way in, not just the room
Check the width of the front door, hallway, stairs and living room door against the sofa's height and depth. Most sofas go through a door on their side or end, so the depth usually matters more than the width.
Types of sofa
Recliner sofas
Recliner sofas let you put your feet up without a footstool. Electric recliners move at the touch of a button, and some add USB charging, adjustable headrests or a console with cup holders; manual recliners use a lever or a push-back mechanism. See also recliner chairs.
Corner sofas
A corner sofa makes the most of an L-shaped space and suits families who all want to sit at once. Check which side the corner or chaise sits on before you order.
Sofa beds
A sofa bed gives a spare bed in a room that has to be a living room most of the time.
Fabric or leather sofa?
A fabric sofa feels warmer and softer and comes in the widest choice of colours; chenille and velvet add texture. A leather sofa wipes clean, wears in rather than out, and suits homes with pets that don't scratch. See the full comparison on each collection.
Bespoke sofas
Some ranges can be made to order in different sizes, configurations and covers. See our bespoke sofas, including La-Z-Boy, SoftNord and Primavera.
Delivery, assembly and packaging
Sofas are delivered in 2 to 3 weeks unless the product page says otherwise. Our own team delivers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, carries the sofa into the room you choose, and assembles it and takes the packaging away free of charge. The only exception is sofa beds, where assembly is optional at the cost shown on the product.
Part of the range is on show at our Enniskillen showroom, and sitting on a sofa is the best way to judge seat depth and firmness. The online range is wider, so ring before you travel if there's a particular model you'd like to try.
Sofa FAQs
Is sofa assembly included?
Yes. Assembly and removal of the packaging are free on every sofa except sofa beds.
How long does a sofa take to arrive?
Usually 2 to 3 weeks. Any range with a different lead time says so on its product page.
What size sofa fits my living room?
Measure the wall and subtract about 20cm at each end. In most rooms that gives a 3 seater of around 200–210cm.
Will the sofa fit through my door?
Compare the sofa's depth and height with the narrowest door and hallway on the way in. Most sofas go through on their side, so depth is usually the key measurement.
