Paint Mixed to Order in Enniskillen

Paint is the cheapest way to change a room and the easiest to get wrong, because a colour behaves differently on a wall than it does on a card. North facing rooms pull colours cooler and greyer; south facing rooms warm them up. The same white can read cream in one room and blue in the next.

Every colour here is mixed to order in the Enniskillen showroom, so you are choosing from a full brand range rather than whatever is pre-mixed on a shelf.

Interior wall paint

Emulsion is the standard finish for walls and ceilings. A flat matt hides uneven plaster better than anything else but marks more easily; a slight sheen wipes clean and suits hallways, stairs and children's bedrooms.

The brand ranges are below.

Choosing a wall paint colour

Buy a tester, paint a sheet of lining paper rather than the wall itself, and move it around the room across a full day. Judging a colour against existing paint skews it, and judging it at one time of day tells you very little.

Kitchen and bathroom paint

Steam, splashes and regular wiping ask more of a finish than a bedroom wall does. Both rooms want a product specified for moisture rather than a standard matt, and the brands we carry each have their own.

Wood and metal paint

Skirting, doors, window frames and radiators take an eggshell or satinwood over the right primer. Bare or resinous wood needs a primer first, and anything previously varnished needs a key before it will hold.

Primers, undercoats and stain blocks are in paint supplies.

Exterior and garden paint

Outdoor colour has to move with the timber and survive Fermanagh weather. Cuprinol covers sheds, fences, decking and garden furniture; masonry and exterior wall products are mixed from the main brand ranges.

Paint brands we mix

Farrow & Ball for the full heritage palette, Little Greene for historic colour, Colourtrend, and Fleetwood in both the Popular Colours and the Prestige range. All of it sits under wallpaper and paint alongside the decorating supplies.

Paint FAQs

Do you mix paint colours in store?

Yes. Paint is mixed to order in the Enniskillen showroom across every brand we carry.

How much paint do I need for a room?

Measure the wall area in square metres and check the tin's stated coverage, then allow two coats. Bare plaster drinks the first coat, so add a mist coat on top of that.

What is the difference between emulsion and eggshell?

Emulsion is for walls and ceilings and comes in finishes from dead flat to a soft sheen. Eggshell is harder wearing and goes on woodwork, doors and radiators where the surface gets touched and cleaned.

How long does paint take to arrive?

Paint needs the same specialist transport as furniture rather than going out as a standard parcel, so allow two to three weeks.
