Little Greene Paint — Colours, Finishes & Sizes

Little Greene is known for deep, rich colours and a wide choice of finishes. Every colour page here gives the colour's number and its LRV, so you can judge how light or dark it will feel on your walls before you buy.

What is LRV?

LRV, or Light Reflectance Value, measures how much light a colour reflects, from 0 for black to 100 for pure white. A colour with a high LRV keeps a room bright; a low LRV absorbs light and makes a room feel enclosed and cosy. In a north-facing or dark room, a higher LRV helps; in a bright room, you can go much deeper.

Choosing a finish

Each colour comes in a choice of finishes, selected on the product page. Among them:

  • Matt emulsions (Absolute Matt and Intelligent Matt) for walls and ceilings.
  • Eggshell in water-based and oil-based versions for woodwork, furniture and kitchens.
  • Intelligent Exterior Eggshell for outdoor wood and metal.
  • Intelligent Floor Paint for floors.
  • Intelligent Satin and Traditional Oil Gloss for a higher sheen.

Sizes

Most colours come in several sizes, from 60ml pots to try a colour on the wall, through 1L and 2.5L, up to 5L and 10L for larger rooms. Sizes vary by finish, so check each product page.

Try before you commit

Paint a large patch on two different walls and look at it in the morning, the afternoon and under lamplight. Colours shift with the light, and a small patch is never quite enough to judge.

Delivery

Paint is delivered in 2 to 3 weeks unless the product page says otherwise, and paint can also be mixed to order at our Enniskillen showroom.

Little Greene paint FAQs

What LRV should I choose for a dark room?

A higher LRV reflects more light, so it keeps a dark room brighter. Deep, low-LRV colours make a room feel cosier and more enclosed.

Which Little Greene finish is best for walls?

The matt emulsions, Absolute Matt and Intelligent Matt, are made for walls and ceilings. The product page describes each finish.

Can I use Little Greene paint on woodwork?

Yes. Choose an eggshell, satin or gloss finish for woodwork, doors and furniture.
