Figurines & Ornaments — Plaques, Wall Decorations & Gifts
Read more
Ornaments are the small pieces that make a house personal: a plaque with a message that means something, a decoration that comes out every Christmas, a piece on the wall that catches the eye. Many of them are bought as gifts.
See also centrepieces, candles and diffusers, art and paintings, mirrors and all decorative accessories. To display them: display cabinets, bookcases and shelving and sideboards.
Plaques and sentimental gifts
Pebble glass plaques carry messages for Mum, family, friends, pets, a new baby, a christening, an engagement or a silver anniversary, and the "Robins Appear" plaques are a gentle way to remember someone. Wooden Highland cow word and heart plaques add a country touch, and there's a Fáilte welcome plaque for the hall.
Christmas ornaments
Galway Living hanging ornaments for the tree, including a Baby's First Christmas ornament, along with snowman decorations for a mantelpiece or windowsill.
Wall decorations
An antique silver stag head, a pair of angel wings and wall decoration circles give a wall interest without a frame. Group smaller pieces together rather than spreading them around the room.
Garden and decorative pieces
Garden bird signs, a robin windchime, an animal door stop, a small hen ornament, a hand bell and candle holders.
How to display ornaments
Group ornaments in odd numbers and vary the heights, and leave some empty space on each shelf so every piece can be seen. Pieces that share a colour or material look like a set even if they came from different places. Dust them with a soft dry cloth.
